Tears,
shocking as they can be
comfort me, as they well up
spilling over eyelid's edge
descending this skin of mine
Dropping
oblong and shattered
through air to writing paper below
marking a misty trail from birth to destination
Day-to-day
scuffmarks
pile up upon us
hinting of greater losses
the turmoil of collisions
awaiting distillation
Tears:
emotions made plain
pure love, pure loss
pure pain, pure joy
pure letting go
